YAMAHA X1R Owners' Discussion

It seems that my shifting is always lacking some clutching. I've already adjusted the cable to its tightest possible position. But, I didn't like the gripping play. I loosened it a bit until a peso-coin thickness inserts in the levers free play. Now, I'm still experiencing the lack of clutching every shifting of the gear. Don't know what else to do...

the cause of that lacking is because of ur resing resing rearsets....

speak english for the benefit of the other international friends.
were in the international threads (outside of philippines thread)

dont worry, good or bad english doesnt matter.
what matters is how fast is your bike. :)

I will translate this

Say what?? You've changed your clutch lining twice now, haven't you? Did you also experience the lack of clutching? It hurts my feelings every time I here the "tok" sound in shifting gears...

How's your seat? My butt's been burning in long rides ever since I installed the shifter. Such pain in the ass!

you have to remove the head light, front head light cover panel and dash panel cover, then loosen up the nut on the head set to the steering down tube. then align and tighten.

What is the nut on the head? Is it the one in the middle of the handle bar?
