Polished carbs..

guys i'm planning to polish my new carb's ventury n outports..as shinny as i can..question is will it improve much?? :?

i use autosol and a rotary polisher bit

but of course not using hand polish, its gonna take forever

i bought some sandpaper today, to polish some of my stuffs too
240, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 grits
after 2000 grit, use autosol and my trusty little rotary polishing bit

Question: When polished, we need to maintain its glossy surface. Will it be a problem if we use any clear coat spray?

why use a clear coat??..just repolish when its starting to get dull..

can apply some wax after washing


but u still nid to have a smooth surface before u can apply clear coat
oso the petrol vapour in the intake will eat off the paint :lol:

Just thinkin if i have my spare time i will see what i can do...

to malaysian user, is polishing as same as "korek" (digging)
if not what the difference. My mechanic is having hard time to tune my bike, he suspect my carb got pimp.

ever wonder why airplane wings is not glossy or smooth surface?
the answer is , polishing the wings or making it smooth surface
or glossy surface will create more turbulence (less flow of air)

if we apply that to our carbs, does that means we will have less flow of air?

less air flow maybe good cause with high airflow carbs doesnt work right sometimes

polishing makes better gas flow to the intake port...maybe better millage and better response
