i dont know papa kase i am a newbie sa sniper world.. ang alam ko lang gawin dito is mag~backread.. a lot...
basta AFAIK...
> the Yamaha Sniper has a stock stroke of 58.7mm slightly higher than Yamaha Mio 57.9mm
> Yamaha Sniper has 4 Valves SOHC with 54mm piston, Yamaha Mio has only 2 Valves SOHC with 50mm piston
> basic bore up with Yamaha Mio is 58.5mm/59mm plug n play, about +8.5/9mm over stock that will still run fine using stock 2 Valves head
> so if Yamaha Mio was to convert from 2 Valve to 4 Valve set, the piston sizes used by most tuners start @ 61mm, 63mm, 65mm by stock stroke because a 58.5mm/59mm size would be too small for 4 Valve head unless tuners upgrade to longer stroke to compensate displacement
therefore...
> adding +3mm in piston size would already be sufficient since Yamaha Sniper already has 1mm longer stroke, making it to 150cc and a plus because it is still using Daisil(Chromebore) block for better heat dissipation like OEM
but then napa~isip ako...
y not take advantage of the OEM 4 Valve head by going with a much bigger bore since Yamaha Sniper OEM head can handle bigger displacement.
unlike the 2 Valve head on Yamaha Mio, either need to updgrade to Bigger Valves or go 4 Valves to accomodate 61mm ++ piston
as they say, theres no replacement for displacement.. kaya konting kalikot sa http://www.cbperformance.com/enginecalc.html ive come up with these computations on stock stroke
Vixion 57mm = 150cc
FAITO 60mm = 166cc
CMR 61mm = 172cc
LHK 65mm = 195cc
mga friends using the ff...
1 using LHK 65mm, (talap~talap nito but need to upgrade BV head para makahinga ng maayos, doble gastos at tengna lakas sa gas wahahahahaha suki sa gas station....
2 katropa ko using Vixion kit (just like stock pero may asim. can still use e~start but masyado maliit for me since I am 200lbs)
4 using CMR (tuwang tuwa kase 3k++ lang, talo lahat sa presyo at performance)
me... Faito kase maganda yung packaging bow
make sure to find good mechanic. kase kung d din maruning yung gagawa, kahit Daisil/Chromebore/Forged chuva~ek~ek, kab0o0o0o0o0oooom
Bore up na and ride safe
