if your mc is old sniper 15/42 combi is the better one, if your mc is sniper mx 14/42 or 14/43...

Hehhe, bro, allow me to comment, by the way, I'm a new member gonna sign up 2 days ago. i gonna have a 2008 model Yamsniper orange. Well, to be able to attain a top speed in your MC the other factor is a driver, if you are warshock driver, you gonna attain a maximum speed you wish, this is something to do playing with your gears and silenyador. Yamaha sniper is simply the best bike compare to other brand.

If u wore 428 chain, just continue with it.16-43 more suitable with me,cause i love acceleration.and promised top end.
actually dont know what chain size i used lol did not change my stock so does it fit with stock chain? its just a .2 difference on te gear ratio? right? so i'll try first the 15-40 then 16-43,

actually 16-43 more massive than 15-40,thus the mass effect direclty to momentum.momentum=m*v.mass of pitch of gear teeth x with velocity of gear.
another advantage using bigger gear is when you chain turning around gear, the angle of turn is bigger than smaller gear.so,ur chain life is longer...
correct me brother if i'm wrong.just share not show off...;):D

u can read the chain size on the chain itself.it written there 428 means 428 size.

woah, your too informative ^^ 16-43? isn't that too big? lol. what is your top end on ur mc and what mods, tire size and weight. i believe this factors affect our sprocket combination too our speed.

16-43 with 70/90 tyres.if i'm using 90/80F and 110/80R,i will go with 16-46/45.by using smaller tyres,i can easily get top in about 400-500m if not mistaken.(140 kmh around 120 car speed) can also reach 160 kmh(130-140).actually,using bigger tyre on rear give u a feeling of 'heavy and umphh'...haha.but to save me cost,i go to smaller tyre.because using big tyre,u need to pass a point before u get the momentum,if u go under power,u can't feel the power, thus required more fuel in acc...

u can see my comments in sprocket combination for big tyre, and one big advantage,ur chain is more durable and noiseless.u knew that our chain easily turn noisy.
if ur weight is around 60-70 kg,u can try 16-39.i have tried this spec, can reach top to 170kmh,but lose some bit on acc.i luv acc, thus sacrified some top end.

study ur self interest,ur road, style of riding...u can get the best.do not set ur bike for other satisfaction,be yours.just sharing with u,no offense or show off intention.
correct me if i'm wrong.:D

subscribing...

Im using Sniper Classic
sprocket size: 14f-38r = 2.71 gear ratio
1st 3 gears ok na ok ang pick-up then when reaching 4th gear, it slows down...
using stock front mags and tire...rear is 1.85 with stock tire too...
may i know whats the best sprocket combi of my bike @traxxas-modifier?

since you have bigger tires, it will have hard time on accelerating.
you need a gear ration HIGHER than 2.6

from gear ratio tables in page1

13 34 = 2.62
16 42 = 2.63
14 37 = 2.64
15 40 = 2.67

go one step at a time to see which one fits well with your new tire.
sir traxxas i can't afford to buy a lot of sprocket combi.. and besides my knowledge is not that deep compare to other forumers... my weight is 170 lbs as of now, and my tires sizes are 80/80 front 90/80 rear.. whats the best sprocket combination for me, and what would be the bikes performance if i used 15x45 combination:confused: thanks in advance sir:)

for 80/80 F and 90/80 rear, sprocket combination is 15-42, is good since sir traxx said that he uses 16/42 for 100/80 rear?
sir how's the performance of this sprocket combi, i'm using the same tire size right now... thanks in advance
