NO GEAR, NO RIDE POLICY should be implemented!!!
We should understands that motorcycling has risks unique to our sport. We believe that safety is ultimately the responsibility of the individual rider. Like many sports, the fun of motorcycling is enhanced when shared. However group riding can and does have risks of it's own. We ask that our members and guests ride well within their own personal limits and skills. It is also important to be continually aware of other traffic whether two or four wheeled and display the courtesy for the positive impression of our faith and sport.
With the above in mind, we will:
* Ride within our own personal limits and be aware of where we are in regard to those limits.
* Ride at a pace that is safe in relation to road and traffic conditions.
* Ride in a way that, when passing any vehicle, plenty of space is given to the
passed vehicle front and back. Pass other motorcyclists as though they occupy the complete lane. Please no tailgating or close passing, and respect the space of other riders.
* Ride in a manner free from attitudes and hooligan antics.
* Ride for fun, not competition. Public roads are not race tracks. There are plenty of organizations that can get you on a real track and we encourage those who want to ride on one.
* Ride geared up. Crashes happen even among the most conservative and sedate of riders and groups. Proper riding gear not only protects the rider but those on the ride as well.
*Ride staggered in the straights and single file through the corners. Give space to riders ahead allowing for unexpected and abrupt maneuvers of the those in front.
This is a short list and no doubt there are more that can be added. We always welcome input on how we can make our rides more fun, interesting and safe. Motorcycling, like faith, is enriched when it is shared, but that experience can be easily shattered permanently in a moment of foolishness or complacency.
Basic gears:
Helmet: Full Face
Gloves
Knee/elbow pad
Riding Jacket: padded jacket if possible
Ride safe everyone! Goodtimes!!!
