Hi guys
today i did the projector retrofit to our stock headlight.
projector lens are the best efficient headlight because it maximizes
all the brightness of the bulb giving out and directs it evenly
on the road surface.
No scattering of lights which causes glare to oncoming traffic.
if youve wonder, Highend expensive cars are using projector headlight.
So its time to convert our stock headlight to projector.
What you need is a Projector Lens.
There are two types of projector lens you can choose.
first is Single beam, which emits Low beam light only.
second type is Dual beam, which you can have High Beam or Low beam light
using switch.
the ff projector lens are using H1 type of bulbs.
In this howto,
i use the Dual Beam Projector Lens.
First is i remove the stock bulb socket at the back of the headlight
Once done, You need to remove the headlight cover lens.
from the internet they said you need to use Oven or Heat gun to heat the sticky glue
and will be able to remove the lens...
But since I dont have any oven, I dont have any Heat Gun.
ITS TIME TO USE OUR OWN MIGHTY COOKING PAN
Lets cook the headlight, hehehe
chef traxxas, whats our ingredients?
Ingredients:
-big bowl that headlight can be fitted.
-water
-headlight
-2 pcs small flat screw driver
first is You need to BOIL first the water.
once boiled, turn off the cooking stove.
Dip your headlight in the boiling water.
remove it in the boiling water,
remove the lens carefully by pying the lens and body using small flat screw driver.
be careful not to break the lock..
be very patient, you will feel that the sticky glue is very soft when its heat.
when the glue is soft, its easy to remove the lens
when its cold already, Dip it again in the hot water and wait for 30 seconds...
then do it again , until you can easily remove the lens
be very patient once until you finally remove the clear lens
[/img]
Once done, RESHAPE the hole so that the projector lens will fit inside the hole
here the projector lens is fitted to the headlight
This is the result
using LOW BEAM LIGHT
perfectly straight line thus you can see more road ahead BUT still wont glare oncoming traffic
Using HIGH BEAM LIGHT
now thats the whole road lighted
now my night turns into day using Projector Lens + HID xenon light
