these are some tips that i experienced and gained from the internet that i would like to share with you guys. i'll make it short.

    1) starting an event:
-hold a meeting with members regarding the purpose, destination, route, date.
-confirm the status of the participants.
-group should be in manageable size.
-plan at least a month ahead before the final day.

    2) preparation:
-double check your bike condition one day before ride (tyres, engine oil, brakes, and lamps.)
-be sure to bring necessary items and as light as possible (bright jacket, raincoat, documents, etc.)
-have a good rest on the night. no alcohol.
-arrive on time at the gathering point.. with full tank of course.

    3) briefing:
-head count from the list. unattended rider need to be informed.
-get to know each other. introduce yourself.
-assign group lead and tail with experience riders.
-discuss the next fuel stop, resting spots, hand signals, etc.

    4) safety riding:
-ride in formation.. with a maximum of 2 rows. preferable zig-zag.
-keep safe distance between front and back, side by side.
    -check your side mirror periodically.
-never skip your row, and ride in manner.

    5) back up plan:
    -regroup if someone left behind.
-prepare a 2nd route just in case of emergency.
-have specialist in first aid kit, repair kit.
-inform your relatives about your trip.

    have fun!

Are there MSF training classes in the Philippines by chance? I attended the basic one many years back and did the advanced class about 10-12 years back in which you ride your own bike. That training I would recommend for any rider, no matter how much you think you know. I watched a guy riding a 1500 CC Honda Goldwing doing things that most guys couldn't do on a little bike.
