COnrod Reliability

Is it true that changing to bigbore kit will shorten the life of our conrod and too much compression? Planning to install 60mm faito block and faito turbo cam. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated like valve clearance for this setting (60mm block + turbo cam in=? out=?) (60mm block + s4 evo in=? out=?) TIA:)

its true, old sniper t135 change to bigbore kit will lessen the life of the conrod kit.

my rough estimate is on a bigbore kit from my experience (vixion 57mm) with regular maintenance.
its safe upto 50,000kms mileage.

but what the heck!, the 50k mileage will take 2 years or more before you can
reach that :)

so go ahead dont worry, bore it up! :D

in my 5 years of owning a sniper, i only change conrod once (1.5 years ago).
and im waiting for my conrod to fail now so that i have a reason
to upgrade to faito jackup crankshaft!!! hehehe

i have a old sniper friend here,
his sniper has 100,000+kms mileage and conrod is still alive and kickin!
his stock bore reach that mileage, then we change it into bigbore.

the new 2011 sniper mx is using wider conrod bearing that it will accomodate
bigger cc boreup kits for reliability.

How about the the electric starter? My friend's nouvo z with 59mm bore broke the stock starter motor and gear. He was obligued to buy MTRT starting motor. I'm lazy in using the kick-start, If i just change the bore and retain the stock cam with decompression pin i may still be able to used the stock starter but the performance may not be far from the stock bore.

what is the best Con Rod for T135 ?

Bore is now 62mm
genuine is the best.
however the most common failure is the conrod bearing
due to abusive riding style.
drag style full throttle rev without closing when shifting.

as long as you ride normally with care and proper maintenance,
good fully synthetic oil. that should last a bit.

you can install vixion conrod kit (same with 2011 mx conrod)
but you need to remove 0.9mm on both sides since its much wider
than stock conrod of old sniper

so we can't just Plug and Play Vixion conrod ?

what will happened if we didn't removed 0.9mm on both sides ?

How about the conrod produced by TKRJ (japan)?

http://www.tkrj.co.jp/goods/m-BY0268A-5YP-.php
same specs with stock.
ive ask tkrj about the advantage of using it compared to stock,
they said none.

the problem is not with the conrod,
but its with the bearing.

the only option is to find an alternative bearing
and regular maintenance and proper and decent throttle usage
for borekits bigger than 60mm.

for 2011 version of T135, no worries anymore
as its using wider bearing (vixion) which can accomodate
more abused riding on bigger bores.

not plug and play as its much wider by 1.8mm,
you cannot close the crankcase with 1.8mm gap.
So as you have said

"you can install vixion conrod kit (same with 2011 mx conrod)
but you need to remove 0.9mm on both sides since its much wider
than stock conrod of old sniper".

It is the only other reliable option/alternative yea?
