so if the stock sprocket combination is better for hi speed it should also be best to stick on stock tire combination to achieve top speed.. Am i right?

I did AIS removal on my sniper mx, i feel my engine is running a little more responsive to my throttle revolution. Will these modification affect my engines life span in the long run?

i have 14/38 sprocket combination on my sniper mx but it can attain only 105-108kmh reading on my speedo. I try 15/42 and it runs till 110-115kmh. I'm about 85kgs, stock sprocket for me is not the best combi for attaining top speed unless you have modified your engine.

Is it true that classic sniper has more top end speed than sniper mx even if it only has 4th gear and 22mm carb compared to sniper mx 5th gear with 25mm carb?

my old sniper (about 5 month old) can attain 110 - 120km/h at stock sprocket bt you must b leaning forward lyk a racer... hehehe.. all stock no modification even muffler... i'm 75 kgs. body weight

here is what www.gearingcommander.com says comparing the 4speed sniper vs 5speed sniper::cool::coffee::thumbsup::eek::rolleyes::D

    4 speed: primary drive ratio-2.875. rear tire-80/90x17. @ 85oo rpm. final drive-15/39 (2.6)
    gear 1-43.6kph.
    gear 2-65.8
    gear 3-91.2
    gear 4-118.1

    5 speed: primary drive ratio-3.042. rear tire-100/70x17. @ 8500 rpm. final drive-14/38 (2.71)
    gear 1-39.2
    gear 2-59.2
    gear 3-77.7
    gear 4-95.1
    gear 5-106.8

    the 5 speed (9.21 kW @ 8500 rpm) has more horsepower than the 4 speed (8.45 kW@8500).

theoretically if you change the stock primary gear ratio of the 5 speed from 3.042 to the 4 speed 2.875 the results will be according to www.gearingcommander.com
    gear 1-41.4kph
    gear 2-62.6
    gear 3-82.2
    gear 4-100.6
    gear 5-113.1
