    yo Iyo
You should give more detail on that benhill race. I think.

Me I take pride of my bike, but in reality I never managed to beat any Raider 150. From the engine spec, gears, and the rest of it, our bike would fall behind the Raider Bro.

Some believe that the intake porting is to smooth the air intake and lessen the turbulence.
But some don't. Dunno which way to go. It needs a valid test n measurement.

my mecanic say, less turbulances n making the high pressure air flow into combustion chamber is very important to get a fast bikes.. i know its hard to belive, but i think its a right step to make abike run faster..

TURBULENCE means air is not straight, not smooth.
TURBULENCE means air is going from left to right to up to down, its not straight.

    My opinion is this:

BEFORE GOING TO CARB, LESS turbulence air is needed.
meaning more air is needed, the smoother, no restriction to air is better.
thats why high flow air filter like k&n is better.

AFTER THE CARB, HIGH turbulence is needed to help
mixed the fuel with air thoroughly. Thats why you can see
tv shopping products like vortex swirl devices.
also this is the reason why yoshimura TMR MJN carbs
produce better because it mixes air and fuel better.

I've been following some talk about that as some car air intake use that innovation (like cyclone models).
Thinkin.. it's ok for the car as it has longer way, coz turbulence can just happen in a long n twisted pipe or non smooth inner wall.
In a bike the intake port is definitely short, seems like the turbulence effect would have very tiny chance to take place. is it?
Some friends an I are still seeking more reasoning on this.
