its just adjusting the fuelling according to the sensor that senses the combustion gases

well bro, if the bike didnt pop before when ur bike was newer, its most probably nothing to do with the fuelling

i still say there is still leaks in ur exhaust
i always say, try to fix the most common n cheapest fixes first
changing an exhaust gasket is darn cheap, and its the most common cause that causes pops in the exhaust
really no harm at all doing it

rather than to start tinkering blindly tat wud cost u a lot of money n end up still with the same problem.
Hi, since new, the bike make the pops, and when I asked, the dealer told me that was normal for this type of exhaust but I dont think so.
I will check very careful for leaks and I will change the gasket

Yea, I feel the same like you, but the worst is that they do not have the service manual and they do not know how to set the CO.
I spoke with a guy in Yamaha México and told me That this is a new model and the manuals will be available on April. :x

I realy do not undestand why yamaha bring a new model and the dealer do not have the necessary tools

Hi Bros

This are the news:

yesterday I was with dealer and we check the next points but the back fire "pops" continue (less frecuency but exist)

1- Exhaust leak OK
2- Admision leak OK
3- Adjust CO at +4 (we prove with a wide range and this was the better)
4- 'Air cut off valve' OK

the only thing missing is reviewing the valve clearance.

The exact failure is this: If a go to 80-100 Km at 6000-7000 rpm and I drop the throttle (with out use the clutch) when the rpm down to 3000-3500 makes one or two pops. Probably the error is mine and I should use the clutch before

Hi, for exhaust leak I use a soap solution around the exhaust ignited the engine and blocking the exit to see if bubbles were generated (something primitive but it works :) )

Idid not check emission leak. I check leaks on admision throttle body.

how can u check for leaks like tat ?

the leak occurs under high rev n when the engine is under load
not same as when u jus leave it idle

tats y i said jus change the damn bloody cheap gasket :x
it oni costs like 50 cents USD :x

bro amorales

carott is not mad bro.. its just an expression
that says after all the troubles/problems
blame it on the gasket... :)

bro amorales have you tried/planning changing your exhaust muffler?
free flow mufflers to make more power to your vixion

Hi bros, no problem I'm just was kidding, yesterday I changed the exhaust gasket and the problem still remained, and today I decided to adjust the valve clearance and the damn problem is gone :D :D :D

the valve clearance before: in-0.09 ; exh-0.18

the valve clearance now: in-0.125; exh-0.224

I'm very happy, thank you for your help and patience.
