In the diagram, I found a wire with pink color connect from CDI to the 2nd gear position, what it's function???Why don't we connect to others gear position like 1st or 3rd???

    yahh :)

    nice observation...
whats the function of the PINK?

    think guys think! :)

pink...pink...could be the gay wire. If we touched or removed it, we might become homosexual...maybe.

    what do you mean ?

    Are you kidding man?

    Hahaha what do you think!!?

I'm sorry, honestly I do not really know. Doesn't it specify in the diagram? It could be connected to the 2nd gear because that's wear alot of the boost comes in...but I'm sure you could semi connect it to all the gears so that the CDI works all gears and not just focus it's power on the 2nd.

My friend already test on his T135, he make a switch to have 3 option :
    1. Original
    2. Remove pink wire
    3. Connect pink wire directly to mass.
After testing, he found that with option 2 the engine work smoothest! (Me too)
How do you think about it???
  10. thvswc New Member

Yes, I like option 2, somebody already test? how do you think?
  11. MioBikerBoyz New Member

I'm too scraed to go under the seat and play with the wires :) I just be a good boy and kiss my bike before going to bed, that's all :)

i just donload that wiring diagram.. needs more time to research and study bout all kinda of wiring inside and,,and,,and the 1st i should start is wiring from TPS to cdi also ac magneto hahaha just wait n see hahahahaha.then i LC ready to sprint test hahahaha
  15. trieunt New Member

I had tested all of these options and I found that the 3rd made the engine work with maximum power. So you can change the sproket (front and rear) to use that power.

It's mean that we no need to buy CDI Racing anymore!Just use Original CDI and connect pink wire directly to mass!Right?
  17. trieunt New Member

Maybe, but I am considering about the TPS and thermo sensor . What are their function participating in CDI ?
I think they are present in wiring diagram with the protect engine overload at too high of beat and heat.
If I remove the TPS out of function on wiring diagram, what 's matter ? Better or problem ?

The PINK color is the GEAR POSITION SENSOR.
i think this is a standard requirement for DIGITAL CDI.

most digital cdi should be connected to one of the gear.

So what happen if you remove or bypass it to mass ?

Gear Position Sensor Output Voltage are inputted through the CDI Unit and the installed Micro-processor(inside the cdi) decides on the most suitable ignition time according to the rotation of the engine by calculation and simultaneously outputs the primary voltage of the Ignition Coil regularly in times when the battery voltage changes giving safe ignition output .

My observation as to why the "pink" wire is connected to 2nd gear only:

Yamaha T135 is designed to have quick response/acceleration compared
    with other cubs/underbone bikes.
when in city traffic, first gear and second gear are the ones mostly used.
(yamaha always states that t135 can overtake vehicles "very quick" from a traffic stop)

    Why second gear?
because first gear dont need special extra acceleration power because
being low gear has the power already.

Second gear is most suited because this is used to overtake vehicles
from traffic light stop to Go.

Why not 3rd or fourth gear?
the third and fourth gear are already for high speeds and it doesnt
    need quick acceleration.

Now, those are just my observation :)

TPS will determine if position of your throttle if its 1/4 or 1/2 or Fully open.
based on that, the "microprocessor" inside the CDI will know what to do best with the motorcycle. either it will give more acceleration or not.

It is not advisable to get rid of the TPS, From what i read,
not using/connecting the TPS will provide less power.
