IN THE 2ND LEG OF OZR UNDERBONE CIRCUIT 2008 SEASON.
2nd place during the first leg, Bobby Mencias was a man on a mission. the very
next day after the 1st leg race he started right away with the preparations for the next leg.
It seems from the way he opened up the 1st round on the novice open with a starting
wheelie, he would go on to dominate. all his hardwork had paid off.
The Hightlight for the day would be the battle in the expert open. Robert Paul (Bobby) would lead during the start it lead to an all out battle between Zandro and Bobby. After leading for 8 laps it would lead to a crash after close contact during the turns, bobby was not able get to the top 3. The Yamaha “DiASil Cylinder”
Development of the world’s first all-aluminum die-cast cylinder for high-performance engines, combining high functionality and low cost plus environmental benefits
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (YMC) has succeeded in the development of an all-aluminum die-cast cylinder with 60% better cooling performance and 30% cheaper production cost than a conventional cylinder (*1). Called the Yamaha “DiASil Cylinder” (*2), this is the world’s first all-aluminum die-cast cylinder and it achieves cooling performance equivalent to that of a nickel-plated cylinder, which is currently recognized as the best in the industry, but at a significantly lower production cost than a nickel-plated cylinder.
This new cylinder is an example of the type of a new core technology that can be “strategically important in promoting future growth,” as described in YMC’s “Next 50” (*3) mid-term policy report released in April ...

Yamaha’s latest offering, the newly-launched Yamaha FZ150i, will be placed on special viewing at a special Yamaha Choice of Champions event which will be held at the Grand Modesto’s at Jalan P. New malaysia Yamaha 135LC Extreme Spirit launched with new features
Bandar Sunway, 18 July 2007 - Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. introduces the
Yamaha 135LC Extreme Spirit, a manual hand clutch model today to members of the media.
An exciting addition to the current Yamaha 135LC which was first launched in 2006, the
hand clutch version is expected to increase Yamaha’s share and is part of Hong Leong
Yamaha’s aggressive plans to further establish itself in the 4-stroke moped segment.
The Malaysian motorcycle industry has been enjoying robust growth over the last few years
and 2007 so far has proven to be an encouraging year. This, despite the motorcycle industry
having only grown by 2% for the first half of this year to 238,191 units against 233,749 units
for the same corresponding period of last year.

Shizuoka, August 9, 2007 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. will begin manufacturing and selling motorcycles through a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary in the Philippines. In addition, the company has also secured land in Lipa City in the Philippine province of Batangas for the construction of a new plant with scheduled operational startup in early 2009.
Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. (abbreviation: YMPH), the company that will manufacture and sell Yamaha Motor motorcycles in the Philippines, was established in May 2007. From the end of September 2007, YMPH will be responsible for the final assembly of 105cc~135cc displacement motorcycles at an assembly plant located in the Laguna Industrial Park, and will begin domestic sales through dealers.
Approximately 120 personnel will be employed at the new company at the time of operational startup, and the capital investment will amount to a total of 550 million pesos (approximately 1.4 billion yen). The projected production and sales volume for 20 ...
